Darryl G. Barnes

Darryl G. Barnes is the president of Deacon Wealth Management, a company providing comprehensive wealth management services to its clients. Deacon Wealth Management offers access to securities and financial planning through Raymond James Financial Services, Inc.

Darryl has over 30 years of experience in the financial services industry. He utilizes a “big picture approach” to help his clients pursue their financial goals. He has recognized the need and gathered the tools to incorporate all asset classes into the financial lives of his clients. He specializes in working with business owners and older clients with regard to succession planning, and income generation strategies.

Darryl’s vision is to serve the needs of our changing society and complement his financial services practice. Darryl has worked with a wide range of clients, including business owners, individuals, municipalities, and other public organizations and endowments.

An experienced business executive, Darryl has directed the efforts of having served as a senior executive in numerous organizations. He is the president of Deacon Ventures, LLC., and . Both of these organizations help to fulfill.

Receiving his bachelor’s degree in economics from Wake Forest University, along with a minor in speech communication has provided a unique base from which to communicate his approach to financial planning. He has served on the boards and committees of numerous organizations. He is an accomplished public speaker and is in demand, having spoken at many different venues throughout the country.

An avid outdoorsman, Darryl enjoys hunting, golf, fishing, shooting, and sporting dog training. A lifelong resident of Fredericksburg, Virginia, he is married with two children.
